How Far Ahead Should You Book a Long Distance Mover?

When it comes to long-distance moves, it's best to plan ahead. Ideally, you should book your mover at least two months before the moving date, but 12 weeks is recommended for busy times such as holidays. To be on the safe side, book as soon as you have worked out most of the details. For international removals, it's best to book up to six months in advance.

This is because there are many other things that need to be done that moving companies require prior notice. If you're moving from neighboring countries, such as from the United States to Canada, you should plan to book your mover at least four weeks in advance. For international moves, we recommend booking four to six weeks in advance to ensure that there is enough time to organize the logistics of your move. You should also plan to book your mover at least one week in advance.
